We are thrilled to announce that Dinah Oundo has earned the highly coveted Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Award! The DTM is the highest recognition a member can achieve in Toastmasters International, signifying complete mastery in communication and leadership. This incredible milestone places her among the elite leaders of District 114.
The path to DTM is challenging, demanding long-term commitment and significant service. Dinah didn’t just meet these requirements; she consistently exceeded them, building a strong legacy of mentorship and excellence throughout her journey.
A Comprehensive Path to Mastery

The DTM award requires fulfilling all goals in both the Pathways educational system (communication) and the leadership track. Dinah’s achievements clearly show her dedication to this balanced model of growth.
Educational Achievement (Pathways)

Toastmasters Pathways Badge
Dinah demonstrated her speaking and strategic skills by successfully finishing two different advanced educational paths. These paths were: Persuasive Influence and Strategic Relationships. This achievement shows her ability to speak with confidence, build effective partnerships, and successfully influence others, essential skills for both professional and personal life.
Service and Leadership Excellence
The leadership part of the DTM is about applying skills to serve the organization and the community. Dinah took on significant roles at both the club and District levels.
First, she served two consecutive and very successful terms as a Club Officer: Treasurer (2022-2023), and then President (2023-2024). Under her strong guidance, the club, Exceed Toastmasters Club performed exceptionally in the Distinguished Club Program (DCP). Next, she expanded her dedication to the District by serving as Area Director AD20 (2024-2025). In this vital role, she was responsible for supporting the growth and high quality of several clubs.
In addition, a core DTM requirement involves mentorship. Dinah fulfilled this by serving as the dedicated Club Mentor for MU-JHU Toastmasters club, helping the group grow into what is recognized as one of the most vibrant clubs in District 114. Furthermore, she showcased community outreach by running a successful Speechcraft program for the Excel Insurance Company, helping non Toastmasters International members gain communication skills.
Finally, she successfully completed her ambitious DTM Capstone Project, titled the MUBS Accountants Mentorship Program & Joint Club Fitness Social. This final project served as the ultimate proof of her advanced leadership, planning, and ability to execute complex programs.
The Power of Connections

Dinah Oundo, DTM, and Jesse Ainebyoona, DTM, extending appreciation to TM Tony Otoa from UNOC Toastmasters Club.
Beyond the official awards, Dinah’s journey highlights the joy and value of connections within Toastmasters. She often mentions that her success was fueled by “networking and maximizing the friendships and connections made plus the vibes and traveling in Toastmasters… plus badminton.” This commitment to building a strong community shows that true leadership is built on authentic relationships and shared positive experiences.
Dinah Oundo, DTM, is an inspirational example for all members in District 114. She proves that focused effort, passion, and dedicated service can truly Unleash Potential and Build Legacy. We proudly celebrate her remarkable career peak!
